Around 70% of the tour follows forest trails and rural tracks, taking you through vineyards, mountain landscapes and spectacular viewpoints overlooking Funchal, Câmara de Lobos and the dramatic Curral das Freiras valley.

Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic spots for photos, plus a short coffee and restroom break.

HOW DO THE BUGGY TOUR MADEIRA WORKS?

On all our tours, the participants drive the vehicle. The guides travel in another vehicle to help and provide guidance on the route and any assistance they may need.

Good to Know Before Your Tour

To drive a buggy, you must have a valid Category B driving licence recognised in the EU.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of your tour.
Rain doesn’t stop the adventure! Tours normally operate in rainy conditions, making our off-road trails even more exciting.
In the event of severe weather, a red weather warning, or unsafe conditions, the tour may be suspended. Whenever possible, we will notify you in advance.
If we cancel the tour due to weather or safety conditions, you can reschedule free of charge or convert your booking into a gift voucher to use on another date.
Pick-up service is included in the Funchal area, subject to prior booking and availability, for groups of up to 14 people.
Alternatively, you can make your own way directly to our facilities in Campanário, where the adventure begins.
